Compact, Efficient, Stable, and Reliable – Our Company Launches a New Generation Dual-Output Power Supply for Stage Lighting
Recently, our company successfully held a new product launch conference, officially introducing a high-performance dual-output switching power supply specifically designed for stage lighting equipment. This product, with its outstanding advantages of small size, high efficiency, and high reliability, attracted the attention of many industry experts and partners. At the launch conference, our technical team and attendees engaged in in-depth discussions on key issues such as manufacturing processes, application adaptation, and quality control.
This power supply adopts an internationally universal full-voltage input design, supporting a wide voltage range of 90V to 264V AC, adaptable to the power grid environments of different countries and regions. Its built-in active PFC function achieves a power factor of over 0.98, not only improving energy utilization but also meeting stringent harmonic standards. Under typical 230V input conditions, the power conversion efficiency exceeds 92%, effectively reducing energy consumption and heat generation during equipment operation.
As a core power supply component for stage lighting equipment, this product provides two independent outputs: +32V/10.5A and +16V/2.0A, with a rated total power of 368W. The two outputs are optimized for the main drive and control circuits of the lighting fixtures, with the 32V output accuracy controlled within ±2% and the 16V output accuracy within ±3%. Ripple noise is controlled at 450mVp-p and 250mVp-p respectively, ensuring stable operation of the lighting system under large dynamic load changes and preventing flickering or control abnormalities caused by power supply fluctuations.
Regarding protection features, the power supply integrates multiple protection mechanisms including overload, short circuit, input undervoltage, and overtemperature protection. Overload and short circuit protection employ a hiccup-type design, automatically recovering after the fault is cleared, enhancing the system's self-healing capability under harsh operating conditions. The overtemperature protection point is set to activate when the temperature at a critical location exceeds 105℃, effectively preventing equipment damage due to poor heat dissipation. These designs provide a solid guarantee for the long-term continuous operation of stage lighting.
The product also takes environmental adaptability into full consideration, with an operating temperature range covering -20℃ to 60℃, capable of handling common temperature variations and heat dissipation conditions in performance scenarios. The unit measures 145.5×68×35mm and weighs only 0.3kg. Its compact size makes it easy to integrate into the internal structure of various lighting fixtures, making it particularly suitable for stage lighting fixtures with strict space and weight requirements.
At the launch event, our R&D head detailed the specific optimizations made to this product during its development for stage lighting applications. Stage lighting equipment often faces complex operating conditions such as rapid load changes, parallel operation of multiple lights, and prolonged high-load operation, placing higher demands on the power supply's dynamic response, cross-regulation rate, and anti-interference capabilities. This product, through optimized control loop and transformer design, controls the cross-regulation rate within ±3% and ±5%, significantly reducing the mutual interference between multiple outputs.
Regarding safety regulations and electromagnetic compatibility, the product complies with safety standards such as GB4943, EN60950-1, and EN62368-1. Its withstand voltage and insulation performance meet the testing requirements for 3KV input to output, 1.8KV input to ground, and 0.6KV output to ground. EMC performance meets EN55015 Class B standards and has passed multiple immunity tests, ensuring stable operation even in complex electromagnetic environments and complying with the requirements for stage lighting equipment in performance venues.
Attendees also engaged in in-depth discussions on potential manufacturing challenges. Regarding the 5mm protrusion of the transformer from the casing and the assembly and testing processes on automated production lines, the technical team shared corresponding process control solutions and quality assurance measures. The power supply's mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 50,000 hours, demonstrating the product's solid foundation in reliability design.
The launch of this switching power supply further enhances our product portfolio in the stage lighting power supply field and provides lighting manufacturers with more competitive power supply solutions. In the future, our company will continue to focus on the market demands of professional lighting and performance equipment, continuously upgrading our power supply products towards higher efficiency, higher power density, and stronger environmental adaptability.
