Yestreday we succeed in developing one new power supply,it is DC48V 900W,the one of excited features is the efficiency, when the AC 230V input, the efficiency is 95.6%.

Power supply efficiency as high as 95.9% (@230Vac) is not just a simple number for stage lighting – it translates directly into several tangible advantages, especially for professional performance scenarios:

1. Significantly reduced heat generation, improving fixture reliability
Nearly half the heat loss:
Compared to a typical 92% efficient power supply, delivering the same 900W output, this power supply has internal losses of only about 37W (1000W input – 900W output), while a conventional supply loses about 72W.
The difference of 35W is all converted into heat. Inside the enclosed, cramped space of a stage luminaire, this is like removing a high-power heating element.

Cooler critical components:
Measured at 40°C ambient under full load, the maximum housing temperature is only 78°C (conventional supplies often exceed 95°C).
Electrolytic capacitor life follows the rule of thumb: "every 10°C reduction doubles life". 78°C vs 95°C → theoretical life increases by about 3 to 5 times.
This means significantly lower power supply failure rates during long tours and in hot truss environments – no increased output ripple, no LED flicker, no motor jitter caused by capacitor aging.

Very low probability of triggering over‑temperature protection:
Even when stage ventilation is poor (e.g., dense fixture arrays, blocked scenery), the high thermal margin keeps the supply well away from the 105°C shutdown point, avoiding sudden blackouts during a performance.

2. Enables more compact and lighter fixture designs
No need for extra fans or large heatsinks:
37W of loss can be managed with a small aluminum PCB area and natural convection, whereas 72W of loss often requires forced air cooling or exposed fin heatsinks.
Removing the fan → quieter fixtures (critical for silent stages such as theatre and concert halls), simpler mechanical construction, and easier IP rating (waterproof and dustproof).

Fixtures can be made smaller and lighter:
For moving heads and beam lights, every 100g reduction helps motor load and moment of inertia. High efficiency allows the entire luminaire to be "slimmed down" while still delivering 900W of output power.

3. Significant energy savings, lowering operating costs
Considerable electricity savings per fixture per year:
Assume a fixture runs 5 hours per day, 300 days per year.
High‑efficiency supply annual input energy: 1000W × 5h × 300 = 1500 kWh
Conventional supply (92% efficient) annual input energy: 900W ÷ 0.92 ≈ 978W input → 1467 kWh
Difference: 33 kWh/year per fixture.
A large show might use 200 LED fixtures → annual saving of 6600 kWh. At a commercial electricity rate of 1.2 RMB/kWh, that is about 8,000 RMB saved in electricity costs.

Reduced generator/battery power demand:
Outdoor shows and temporary stages often rely on diesel generators or energy storage batteries. Higher efficiency means more fixtures can be powered from the same amount of fuel or battery capacity, or a smaller generator can be used – lowering rental costs and carbon emissions.
