Products Description When we originally designed the switching power supply for the far‑infrared magneto‑electric pulse therapeutic apparatus, we recognized that, as a core component of medical electrical equipment, its safety and reliability are of paramount importance. Safety is reflected in the requirement that the design must comply with both domestic and international general standards such as GB9706.1 and IEC60601. In addition, strict electrical isolation and insulation must be observed, and among the protective functions, leakage protection is extremely critical. The switching power supply is one of the main sources of EMI (electromagnetic interference) in medical devices. Therefore, it is necessary to install an EMI filter at the power input and to optimise the PCB layout in order to suppress conducted and radiated interference. The power supply must also be capable of withstanding disturbances such as electrostatic discharge (ESD, up to 4 kV), radio‑frequency radiation (up to 3 V/m), voltage transients (1 kV), and mains surges (1 kV/2 kV). In terms of thermal management, good thermal design is essential because the therapeutic apparatus may operate for long periods, and the far‑infrared heating function generates additional heat; the power supply must have adequate heat dissipation to prevent performance degradation or failure due to overheating. Our 200 W, 36 V power supply has been designed with full consideration of all these factors, and it meets both domestic and international medical standards as well as EMC requirements.
