High power density & heat dissipation:The potting compound efficiently conducts internal heat to the metal enclosure for dissipation, enabling a fanless design and reducing the power supply's size and weight.
Low EMI & noise:The potting material itself provides some wave absorption and vibration damping, helping to suppress high‑frequency noise. However, note that potting may alter parasitic parameters of the PCB and potentially worsen EMI performance – this is a risk that must be carefully avoided during design and material selection.

FAQ
1,Why the power supply must be Vacuum degassinge?
To prevent air bubbles from being trapped in the potting compound (which can form a thermal insulation layer, impairing heat dissipation and voltage withstand capability), vacuum degassing must be performed after potting.
2,What is the Curing control of the power supply potting?
Temperature and time must be strictly controlled to ensure the potting compound is fully cured while minimizing internal stress.
3,why we need to be Repairability considerations when produce the 2000W smps?
Because the Silicone is relatively soft and can be carefully cut open with tools for repair. In contrast, epoxy resin is extremely hard, making repair almost impossible without damaging the module. Once internal components fail, the entire module may have to be scrapped."
